Access Statement For Croftlands Cottages
Introduction
Our self catering cottages are in a quiet village location. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. Our cottages are not suitable for disabled visitors. We look forward to welcoming you.
Pre-Arrival
oWe have a comprehensive website
oBookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or phone or the website
oThe nearest bus stop is outside our driveway
oThe nearest train station is in Penrith 18 miles away; there are accessible taxis at the station and locally
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
We have our own car park adjacent to the cottages
oCar park is gravel and a little uneven
oThe driveway is steep near to the road but has only a slight slope by the cottages
oFox Howe cottage has 3 steps to the front door - 18cm high, 30cm deep, 91cm wide with hand rail on both sides. Door is 79cm wide.
oSquirrel cottage entrance is at ground level. The door is 84cm wide
oParking is 5 metres away from the entrance
Main Entrances
Fox Howe Cottage
oThe front door opens directly into the open plan living, kitchen and dining room. Keyhole 98cm high.
oThere is a threshold of 4cm when entering the cottage
Squirrel Cottage
oThe front door opens into a small porch . Keyhole is 100cm high
oThere is a threshold of 4cm when entering the cottage
oThe inner door is 87cm wide. Keyhole 96cm high opening into the open plan living, kitchen and dining room
Fox Howe Cottage Dining room and lounge
oThe dining room is open plan with the lounge and kitchen
oSquare Table (moveable three ways) - legs on each corner, 60cm floor to lowest point of table (underspace), 90cm square extendable by 60cms in length
oFree space between table and walls is at least 85cm on three sides
oChairs (moveable) - 4 chairs with padded seat and no arms.
oFlooring is short pile carpet throughout
oFurniture is moveable and all is non feather oOne double sofa and two easy chairs provided both armed
o TV, DVD and CD provided with remote control
Squirrel Cottage Dining room and lounge
oThe dining room is open plan with the lounge and kitchen
oSquare Table (moveable in every direction) - legs on each corner, 64cm floor to lowest point of table (underspace). 68cm square
oFree space between table and walls is at least 70cm all round
oChairs (moveable) - 2 chairs with unpadded seat and no arms.
oFlooring is wooden throughout
oOne double sofa provided with arms which is moveable and all is non feather
o TV and DVD provided with remote control
Laundry oThere is no separate laundry but there is a standard size washer dryer, which is front loading, provided in the kitchens.

Grounds and Gardens
oEach cottage has its own patio area with lighting. Fox Howe's is gravel and Squirrel's is paved. There is a small grassed area to the rear with gravel path
